One-Time Login & Password Reset Instructions for DonorCentral

DonorCentral maintenance is complete. All users will need to reset their passwords. Please review the step-by-step instructions for resetting your DonorCentral password.

Important Information

The DonorCentral URL (web address) will not change. DC users should still enter aef.donorcentral.com in the browser address window.

2. The email address you have been using to log in to DonorCentral will remain the same. The login email address may be different from the email address AEF has in the Donor’s profile in FIMS.

One-Time Login & Password Reset Instructions for DonorCentral

Step 1

Open your browser and navigate to: aef.donorcentral.com.

(If using a saved bookmark, make sure the URL is aef.donorcentral.com, not Blackbaud)

Step 2

Enter the email address associated with your DonorCentral account.

This is the email address that appears on the user’s profile record in FIMS.

Click Continue.

Step 3

You will receive an on-screen notification confirming that a password reset email message has been sent. 

Close this message window and check your email for further instructions.

Please note the email link times out after 5 minutes. Should this happen, please close the active browser tab and begin again with Step 1.

If you are not automatically receiving the onscreen notification, please select ‘Forgot Password.’

Step 4

The password reset email will be sent from DonorCentral
<mailout@donorcentral.com> with the subject line:  ‘Password Reset Request.’

Step 5

  1. Troubleshooting Tips – If you do not receive the password reset email.

    *** Check your email’s junk or spam folder.

Step 6

In your email Inbox, open the “DonorCentral Password Reset Request” email message.

Click the hyperlink labeled ‘click here’ to confirm that you want to reset your DonorCentral password.

Step 7

A new window will appear prompting you to change your password.  Enter a new password and confirm it. As you type the new password, the password requirements screen will appear.

Click the ‘Reset Password’ button when finished.

Step 8

If your password reset is successful, you will see the “successful reset” message. Close this browser tab.

Note: You will not be automatically redirected to the DonorCentral login page.

Step 9

Open your browser and go to: aef.donorcentral.com. Ensure the AEF logo is displayed on the login window.

Enter the email address you have used to login to DonorCentral and click ‘Continue.’

Step 10

Enter your newly created password and click ‘Login.’
